Using the libraries during the corona virus epidemi
The revised Public Libraries Act entered into force in the beginning of 2017. The objectives of this Act are to promote equal opportunities for everyone to access education and culture; versatile literacy skills; opportunities for lifelong learning and competence development - as well as to promote active citizenship, democracy and freedom of expression.
The implementation of these objectives is based on sense of community, pluralism and cultural diversity.
The Espoo libraries belong to a library network, Helmet, together with Helsinki, Kauniainen and Vantaa. Helmet means Helsinki Metropolitan Area Libraries.
You can get all the information about the library services and events from the library´s home page HelMet.fi.
On Helmet.fi-home page you can find a search box on the top left corner where you can search the database. You can search, make reservations, renew your loans and update your personal information.
