Beaches

Espoo has 58 kilometres of shoreline and 95 lakes. There are 11 beaches by the sea and 10 beaches by a lake. Seven of the beaches have supervision during the swimming season ( June-August).

The Espoo Environment Department supervises the beaches (water) during the swimming season and takes samples of the beach water in accordance with the sampling plan.

During the swimming season you can find information on the beaches in the metropolitan area – locations, services, the algae situation and the water temperature, in the Outdoor Exercise Map
