The Western Uusimaa Transport Services client instructions have been published. The client instructions contain general instructions for using the service, such as instructions for placing a transport order and evaluating the service.
Clear client instructions are one of the prerequisites for the smooth operation of the Transport Services, and therefore clients have played a key role in the drawing up of the instructions. A workshop for developer clients was organised in autumn 2019 with 30 volunteer clients as well as representatives from the Elderly and Disability Councils of Western Uusimaa municipalities. The wishes raised at the event have been taken into account in the preparation of the client instructions. The councils have also commented on the draft instructions. The client instructions are based on the transport-service operating instructions approved by municipalities.

Launch postponed until November
The Transport Services will launch transports in Kirkkonummi, Espoo and Kauniainen in November. The other municipalities of Western Uusimaa, Lohja, Karkkila, Vihti, Raasepori, Hanko, Siuntio and Inkoo, will join in December. Previously, we announced that transports would have started in Kirkkonummi already in October, but the start had to be postponed due to the procurement process.
Each client will remain under the current transport service until the new service starts at the Transport Services. Clients will be mailed instructions on how to use the service, the new contact information and the exact date when their transport will transfer to the Transport Services.
Municipalities are responsible for making the transport decisions as before, and the change will not affect current transport service decisions. In matters related to the transport service and decisions, clients should contact their own municipality of residence.
